ABOUT EVENT

War of Speed Words is a thrilling 1-minute speaking challenge where participants get a surprise topic and must speak on the spot—fast, sharp, and non-stop. One minute, one topic, all wit—no quit!

  • Chit-Pick Format:

    Each participant will randomly pick a chit containing a topic. No swaps allowed.

  • Speaking Time:

    You will get only 1 minute to speak on the given topic. Keep it sharp, clear, and impactful.

  • Prep Time:

    You get 30 seconds to gather your thoughts after picking the chit. Use it wisely.

  • Topics Range:

    Topics can be serious, fun, fictional, or totally unexpected — it’s the war of speed and words!

  • Language:

    You can speak in English, Hindi, or Hinglish — but no offensive language or slurs.

  • Solo Participation Only:

    This is an individual event — no group entries.

  • No Props or Prompts:

    No use of phones, notes, or props during your speech.

  • Judgment Criteria:
    1. Fluency & Flow
    2. Relevance & Interpretation of the Topic
    3. Creativity & Wit
    4. Confidence & Body Language

  • Time Limit Warning:

    A bell/indication will be given at 50 seconds and final buzzer at 1 minute.

  • Judges’ Decision:

    All decisions by the judging panel are final and binding.
